“For a long time it seemed to me that real life was
about to begin, but there was always some obstacles
in the way. Something had to be got through first,
some unfinished business; time still to be served, a
debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it
dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.”

Our two boys left last week with a 24-foot U Haul to seek their fortune in California. It’s quiet around here.
Having had a home based business while they were growing up, I remember all the times they interrupted my work
over the years. Interrupted to tell me what was going on in their world, what the one had done to the other,
assignments that were due the next day now remembered at 10PM.
I think of all the interruptions – and remember the times I listened and the times I didn’t. I am grateful
for those precious moments when I was wise enough to realize that these were not interruptions. This was
my life. Is there something interrupting your plans?
Could it be your life?
