“You want to speak out and sometimes strike out to make things happen, but don’t forget, God works from the inside out. You must first look within yourself to eliminate the fear, the anger, the imbalance in your mind and life. Then, and only then, can you move forward peacefully and powerfully to make the changes needed in the world.”
~ Iylanla Vanzant
Sometimes as we look at what is happening in the world our lives are shaken. We feel shock, sorrow, love, hate, compassion, fear. We feel vulnerable. Truly we see that pain for some of us is pain for all of us. We are all connected. We are one. Many of us ask ‘how can I help?’ When we realize that everything we think and do impacts the world we realize that we can begin with ourselves.
Surround all involved with prayer and love.
Tell someone you love them.
Heal a place of anger, hater, or unforgiveness in your own life.
Be careful of your words in the presence of children.
Do random acts of kindness.
Stop criticizing yourself for past mistakes.
Show appreciation to those who have helped you.
Keep your word.
Think on what you have to be grateful for.
Reach out and lift each other up.
Yes, small things do count. Your actions do matter.
